Great food and amazing service!

Wonderful location, tasty food, excellent service. This was recommended to us by several friends. It was our 27th anniversary so we booked a table outside when they opened at 11 am. Everything was splendid. More than we expected.

My husband had the elk for dinner. Amazingly good! Very flavorful but not "gamey"; tender and juicy. We also ordered the Morel Mushrooms from McCall. The morels were plentiful and tender, however, the brown sauce was too overpowering for my preference. I had the Pappardelle with Pesto and added sauteed shrimp. Absolutely fabulous. It had ribbons of zucchini and arugula which made it less heavy than a full pasta dinner. I had plenty left over. Lovely setting - cool and quiet inside at 5:00 pm.

The restaurant is beautiful and romantic. I love the huge stone fire place! We were there Valentine's weekend and saw a proposal. As for the food, I wasn't impressed. This was our first time there and I did not enjoy my meal. I had the halibut and it was very greasy and I couldn't even finish it. My husband tasted it and said it was awful too. He, on the other hand, had the lamb shank and loved it. I'd be willing to try the restaurant again but I would definitely order something different.

I want to thank the folks at the Cottonwood Grille for their work on my Dad's birthday party. They were helpful and accommodating. We had a large party & they worked hard. Thank you!

Great service, nice atmosphere. They have a good lunch and happy hour menu. I had a really good Cobb salad and my husband thoroughly enjoyed a meatloaf, mashed potatoes lunch, he said it was better than mine. 😉

Great place for an upscale drink and dinner. Price won't break the bank... usually. 😃

You can't go wrong with Cottonwood Grille. Great service. Delicious food. I had the Grilled Salmon salad, but also love the Crusted Trout Salad. My friend had the Salmon Ravioli. It was sensational! Make reservations - it fills up fast!!

Charming atmosphere, beautiful outdoor patio, good food and service.

Adrian is a phenomenal server. The scallops were exceptional. If in Boise this is a place you cannot miss!

Great food and atmosphere! The Steamers (appetizer) is enough for a meal and well worth ordering. Had lemon salmon ravioli (delish!) and brownie with ice cream for dessert and walked away a happy camper!

Good, healthy salad for lunch, but not many gluten free options. This seems a little backward for a high class restaurant these days.

The service was good. The dinner was marginal; chowder was too thick, and barely warm. The clams had WAY TO MUCH salt. But the port was good.

Great place for date night or nice dinner with family/friends. Food is very tasty. Went tonight for the first time in a very long time for a rare night out with my husband. We had oysters Rockefeller for starters and they were delicious! Great French onion soup and Caesar salad. For our entrees he had the buffalo and I had the lamb shank, I was so stuffed from all the good food and bread, I had to take my lamb home. The meat for both entrees was cooked perfectly and the sauces were nice and rich. Will definitely make it a point to get down here more often.

Great food and atmosphere. Full bar.

Great patio seating. Wonderful food and service.

Notice the word is Grille not Grill. There's a reason for this. This is not a Grill. This is a white linen, upscale fine dining establishment along the Boise river. It's beautiful inside and out. Take note...a collared shirt is required but you can wear sandals.

I took my wife here for our anniversary dinner. It is a very nice setting. It was a little louder than I would have liked, but it was still nice. The meal and tip was about $100 for your planning purposes.

Busy as heck after a show at the Morrison, but good food, and good service, considering how slammed they were.
Julie Rainey
Good food but service was very slow. Took almost an hour to get soup and salad.

One of the beat lunch spots In town. A must do u. The summer on the patio is fantastic!

The service was excellent, the location was exquisite and the food was delicious.

The atmosphere was soothing and enjoyable with a beautiful view. The service was top notch, friendly, attentive and on point. The food was incredible. I had the excellent top sirloin steak with gravy, mashed potatoes, and steamed broccoli topped off with a perfect strawberry dakari. My son had the mouth watering tender halibut oñati with rice and steamed broccoli that was enjoyable to the last bite. The prices are fair and the taste of the food and experience are well worth it.

Very upscale restaurant situated right on the greenbelt near downtown Boise. Gorgeous views and the building is beautiful. Food is excellent, service impeccable, but you come to expect that from this establishment. If your looking for something high end dining, this is the place.

The Cottonwood Grille is one of House's best restaurants. The food is good and service is great. It has a country club feel without the membership requirements. ;-)

Cottonwood Grille is a classic supper club type of restaurant. The drinks, appetizers, and food are great. If you want a nice classy quiet dinning experience, this place is a gem.

To be fair, we only ordered dessert. The staff was attentive and friendly. The bread pudding was ok. It seemed a little dry on top. The bottom was delicious and moist. The berry cobbler was good but more cobbler crust was desired.

Skip the $12 crab cakes. These look like they came right out of a freezer bag. I'm not sure what chef put these together.. The rest of our entrees were good, but the ambiance was a little lacking.

Fabulous outdoor seating, next to the greenbelt and the Boise river, and the food is delicious. I recommend the baked pasta with sun dried tomatoes and artichokes.

Brought my parents here for their 50th Anniversary. The food was amazing, Sea bass, Steak. Chicken all of it. Loved the French onion soup and the creme brule.. The appetizers were good, but the crackers seemed pretty generic. It could have used more meat and cheeses. Besides that it was great. Loved the atmosphere.

Great start to my weekend... Saturday happy hour!

High end, not expensive, always perfect American / Northwest cuisine. Their happy hour is like a trade secret. You must try it. The almond crusted trout is perfection.

Some of the best seafood and steaks in town. Gorgeous patio on the River and direct access to Boise amazing Green belt walking system. Full bar and a huge selection of wine. Also, their happy hour (3-6 PM) is awesome. Low prices on food and drinks. Can't go wrong.

Wonderful atmosphere, sitting outside on a perfect Spring day with my youngest son, listening to the fountain, enjoying the beautiful garden, while eating lunch, sipping wine. Waiter was kind and helpful without being intrusive. Food was good.

There is a very good reason this place is considered a premier destination. For a business meeting, a wedding reception, or a romantic meal you'll be hard pressed to find somewhere in Boise with more class. Right on the greenbelt means you'll be enjoying your from-scratch pesto all the more vibrantly as its accented by the lush greenery. The susurration of the Boise river accompanies the gentle spatter of bubbles in my glass as a soundtrack to an amazing evening. The staff was invisibly omnipresent in a way that speaks volumes about knowing your customers needs in this industry. I would fully recommend hosting your own wedding rehearsal dinner here.

Exquisite & lively service. Best salmon I've ever tasted! A trip to Boise is never complete without dining at The Cottonwood!

Love the food, the drinks and especially the service. Hold hands near the fireplace in fall and winter, or toast to the future on the terrace overlooking the Boise River the rest of the year. My go-to place for a romantic dinner.
Brenden S
An absolute bargain for the quality of food and atmosphere. Really good service too. I recommend sitting outside and overlooking the greenbelt.

My now fiance proposed to me here on New Years Eve this year and they were just so amazing. The food was delicious but they went above and beyond to help make it special and a secret from me. My sister and brother in law dressed up in ridiculous outfits to get pictures and after we had drinks near the bar. I was truly in awe of everything, the people here were so nice. We are highschool sweethearts and after 11 years this was just the perfect place for him to propose 😠â¤
